The Daily Rambling Artist - Impulsively Yours: No Hesitation

Reflecting on my life, I vividly remember the first time I saw a swimming pool. I jumped right in, without a second thought. I'll never forget the look of sheer panic on my parents' faces as I navigated the water, an untaught and unafraid four year old. My mom often recounts how terrifying it was, but the truth is, I did just fine. It was an exhilarating experience.

For years, I couldn't quite grasp the essence of my impulsiveness until recently. It turns out that impulsivity is a characteristic of ADHD. A few years back, a friend pointed out that I often attempt to exit a moving car before it's come to a complete stop – a quirk I never even noticed.

Unearthing the origins of these lifelong behaviors is a peculiar journey. I can't help but wonder how having this awareness at a younger age might have altered my life. Would I have hesitated more? 'Just doing it' was my motto long before Nike's.

Present day, as I unravel the mysteries behind my impulsiveness, I find it helps me navigate with greater clarity. But looking back, I have no regrets. I wouldn't change a thing about my impulsive adventures.
