As a child, I found myself drawn to crime noir movies on basic TV channels. The dimly lit streets, smoky bars, and morally ambiguous characters intrigued me, but it wasn't until I delved into James Cain's masterful storytelling that the genre truly captivated me. "The Postman Always Rings Twice" opened my eyes to the depth of human nature hidden beneath the surface of crime and passion. Through Cain's characters, I experienced the consequences of desire, deception, and desperation, leaving an indelible mark on my being.
